9 Days Kenya Magical Migration Safari

Living up to its name, this best DAWN SAFARIS KENYA shows you the classic scenery, wildlife and cultures of Kenya, and all at a really affordable price. This small group itinerary has daily departures each week, and can be easily combined with extensions to Tanzania or the coast, after visiting the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli.

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi

On arrival in Kenya Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to Emara Ole Sereni hotel for your first night in Africa. Booked on Bed and breakfast

Day 2:Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning you will depart Nairobi for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, where you will have an afternoon game drive before heading to your Serena Safari lodge for the night. You will spend the next 2 nights on a full board basis at a lodge in the Masai Mara.

 

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today will be spent on morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara. This morning there is the option for a hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains. (This must be booked in advance and costs US $ 450 per person.) Dinner and overnight at Serena Safari Lodge

 

Day 4- 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve -Migration Watch

Today you will check out and move south to Sarova Mara Game lodge for 02 nights tracking the great migration –all meals at Sarova Mara Game Lodge

Day 6: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

From the Masai Mara you will drive this morning to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will spend the afternoon on a game drive, making the most of the wonderful birdlife and rhino sightings.Dinner and overnight at the Sarova Liohhill lodge

Day 7: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

From Nakuru you will head to Nairobi for lunch or to collect a picnic lunch and then travel to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, to spend the next 2 nights at Amboseli National Park. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp .

 

Day 8: Amboseli National Park

Today will be spent on morning and afternoon game drives inside Amboseli. You can see most types of game in the park including rhino, giraffe, gazelle, lion, cheetah and leopards. Birdlife is prolific too, especially around the swamp areas.Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp

Day 9: Nairobi Depart

From the Masai Mara you will return to Nairobi with a stop at the great rift valley and be dropped off in the city centre or at Jomo Kenyatta International for your onward travel arrangements.
