Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
On your arrival in Kenya, meet and greet by Exciting Africa Holidays representative, after briefing you
will drive south towards Amboseli National Park. Depending on when you landed in Nairobi, you will
either eat lunch on the way to Amboseli or upon your arrival at your lodge in Amboseli. If there’s time,
the first game drive awaits you this afternoon.Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp
Day 2:Discover Maasai Mara National Reserve
Amboseli National Park might be one of Kenya’s smallest national parks, but great experiences await
you here. One of the most classic images of Africa is the photo of a large herd of elephants in the middle
of the savannah with Mt Kilimanjaro in the background.
Then you know you’re in Africa! Ideally, get up
early today and enjoy the sunrise – the mountain is often clearest at daybreak.
The elephants are the reason the park is so famous. You’d be hard-pressed to find bigger elephants –
with bigger tusks – anywhere else in Africa. The sparse vegetation in the park also makes it easier to
spot the animals here than elsewhere. The park also offers a profusion of birds.
You have a packed lunch
with you today, which allows you to spend the whole day in the park – lunch is usually eaten on top of a
small mound, which affords a phenomenal view of both the swampy and bone-dry areas of
Amboseli.Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari camp

Day 3:Amboseli - Lake Naivasha
A new day of experiences awaits… From the flatness of Amboseli, you now head north to the hilly
landscape of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Naivasha is today’s goal. Along the way, there will be time for a
break somewhere where you can have lunch, and there will also be the opportunity to take a photo or
two of the views of the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake located at the highest point of the Great Rift Valley, 1,890 metres
above sea level. A boat trip on the lake is one of the main highlights here. The area is famous for its
hippos, giraffes, waterbucks, vervet monkeys and profusion of birds, both sedentary and
migratory.Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, a drive to Masai Mara awaits you. The traffic in Kenya can be unpredictable, so most of
the day is spent on getting there. Sit back in your seat, have your favourite snack with you, listen to an
audio book or some music and enjoy the sight of Kenya passing by outside.
Bear in mind that there is
Wi-Fi and power in the car, so you can also take the opportunity to make your friends and loved ones at
home jealous with a couple of holiday snaps.
First, you will pass the old Longnot volcano, from which you head west into Masai country. Here, you
will see lots of men dressed in bright red costumes. The Masai have no tradition of cultivating the soil.
They have cattle, which graze between the giraffes, zebras and other savannah herbivores. You drive
through local villages, which are a hive of trading, and in many places, the villagers will wave eagerly to
the passengers in the cars.
A short stop is made in Narok, the capital of the Masai, before continuing to Masai Mara.
As the villages
thin out, the number of wild animals increases.
You also have the option of visiting a Masai village. This should be arranged with the guide on the safari.
It costs 25 USD per person (not included in the price of the holiday) and this is paid directly to the Masai
people. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 5:Masai Mara Full Day Game Drive
Today, you’re going on a full-day game drive in Masai Mara game reserve, the Kenyan part of the vast
Serengeti ecosystem and, in the rainy season, home to probably the world’s largest concentration of
wildlife.
Masai Mara needs no further introduction.
On the mighty plains, you will encounter large herds of
elephants, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, giraffes, gazelles and other herbivorous prey of the hunting lions,
hyenas, leopards and cheetahs.
You will get right up close to a host of animals, which you experience from the protection of the Land
Cruiser.
From July to October, you can experience the 1,200 km long migration of more than one million
wildebeest along with a couple of hundred thousand zebras plus countless Thompson gazelles.
It is during this migration that many gazelles fall victim to the huge Nile crocodiles when crossing the
Mara River.
Why not experience the Savannah as the sun rises – from a hot air balloon? Dinner and overnight at

Day 6:Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, you leave Masai Mara’s amazing wildlife and drive to Nairobi, a drive through the
spectacular Great Rift Valley via the town of Narok.
After lunch, you will continue to the airport, from which the journey home starts with stopover(s) on the
way.
You can also choose to purchase two extra nights in Nairobi with a full day excursion, where you
will experience some of the highlights that Nairobi has to offer such as the elephant orphanage and [the
Danish author] Karen Blixen’s former home.
